Overview

Hunza & Skardu are amongst the most visited places in Pakistan. With a tour covering both locations in addition to fairy meadows, this trip promises to be an adventurous one.

This trip will cover the best of Hunza trip which includes the lush green valley of Hunza, a visit to Altit and Baltit fort, and a visit to the eye-catching Attabad lake. Likewise, it will cover an adventure fi lled ride to Fairy meadows, with an option to trek and ultimately a visit to majestic Skardu where you will be visiting Deosai, Kala Pani, Sheosar lake, Kharpocho fort, and the cold desert.

Tour Plan

Day 01
  • Fly to Gilgit Airport from either Benazir International Airport, or Allama Iqbal airport (From Islamabad, the journey would not take more than 50 mins).
  • Pick up at the airport by our expert guide/ Driver (With instant departure to Hunza (Max 2 hours)
  • Stay at Rakaposhi viewpoint for refreshments
  • Visit Baltit fort (With a brief presentation about its history. i.e 900 years old) in Karimabad.
  • Visit Altit fort (With a brief presentation about its history. I.e 700 years old)
  • Check in at the Hotel (of your choice, This depends on the type of package you choose)
  • Brief rest at Altit village and the nearby gardens.
  • Visit Eagle’s nest, and duikar (the highest viewpoint in Hunza nagar) and experience sunset on snow-clad mountains
  • Night stay at Karimabad, Hunza
Day 02
  • Departure for Khunjerab Pass (Pakistan- China Border)- Also known as the highest paved road in the world.
  • A brief stop at Attabad Lake (One can have photo sessions, opt for a thriller-fi lled Jet ski ride or jump aboard boats for a brief tour of attabad lake).
  • Travel through Pakistan- China friendship tunnels and visit Passu cones & Shirsar peak).
  • Travel through Passu peak & visit the viewpoint of 4th largest glacier in the world (Batura)
  • Enter Khunjerab National Park at Deh, Spot Marmots (If you are lucky)
  • Reach Khubjerab pass (Pakistan – China border) & Experience snowfall if it's your lucky day. It does snow there at times.
  • Meet & Greet Local Tourist and Chinese tourists across the border (If any)
  • Following a short stay during which you can have lunch (Don’t litter), Return back to Sost where there will be a brief stay for shopping.
  • Return to Karimabad & you would have ample time for leisure.
  • Visit Café de Hunza (Notorious for Walnut cake)
  • Night Stay at Karimabad.
Day 03
  • Drive to stunning fairy meadows early morning
  • Drive to Raikot bridge (which will take a maximum of 3 hours)
  • Embark on a journey to fairy meadows through Jeep ride and reach tatu (50 Mins max)
  • Hike to Fairy meadows with stunning views of the surroundings (This will take a maximum of 3 hours, and depends on one’s physical strength). Please note there is an option to hire porters
  • Night stay in Huts at Fairy Meadows
Day 04
  • Wake up early morning to capture the sun rise
  • Hike back to tatu village to leave for Skardu.
  • Jeep rides to Raikot( which will likely take 50 mins)
  • Drive to Skardu while passing through the Alam bridge.
  • Travel along the mighty Indus river (which originates from a lion’s mouth - A famous buddha saying)
  • Check in and rest at the hotel( of your choice, depending on which package you have opted for)
  • Night stay at Skardu
Day 05
  • Departure for a unique experience of the journey to the Deosai Plateau
  • Visit Sadpara Lake (This lake supplies water to Skardu city)
  • Experience the lush green landscape of deosai plains, and visit Kala Pani, & Sheosar lake (An alpine lake with a height of 13,641 ft above sea level).
  • Travel back to Skardu; Either stay in the hotel or hike to Kharpocho fort (45 mins hike)
  • Head back to Skardu to for a night stay and the usual starry nights.
Day 06
  • Drive to scenic Shangrilla resort- a popular tourist destination- Please note that shangrilla resort has a heart-shaped lake in the center.
  • Visit to Upper Katchura lake to experience dramatic trees and the lake’s crystal-clear water
  • Drive to the stunning Cold Desert and experience its sand dunes, with towering snow-clad mountains in the surroundings.
  • Visit Shigar Fort residence
  • Night Stay in Skardu (In the hotel of your choice; depends on which package you have chosen).
Day 07
  • Drop off at Skardu Airport
  • Departure from Skardu airport to your respective destination.
  • Share the photographs with the team and help us spread the word about Pakistan.

Booking & Reservations
  1. To book a tour or any service offered by Travelling Ventures, customers are required to provide accurate and complete information as requested in the booking process.
  2. The booking is confirmed only upon receipt of the required deposit or full payment as specified by Travelling Ventures. Failure to provide payment within the specified time may result in the cancellation of the booking.
Pricing & Payment
  1. The prices of tours and services provided by Travelling Ventures are subject to change without prior notice. The final price will be communicated to the customer at the time of booking.
  2. Payments can be made through the accepted methods specified by Travelling Ventures. All payments must be made in the specified currency.
  3. Once the payment is received, it is non-refundable. This policy is in place because Travelling Ventures needs to secure hotel accommodations and other services in advance.
Cancellation & Modifications
  1. Cancellation requests must be made in writing and will be subject to the cancellation policy specified by Travelling Ventures.
  2. In case of cancellation, the customer will not be eligible for a refund of the payment made. However, Travelling Ventures may offer alternative options or rescheduling opportunities, subject to availability and additional charges.
  3. Modifications to a confirmed booking may be subject to availability and additional charges. Travelling Ventures will make reasonable efforts to accommodate such modifications but cannot guarantee their availability.
Travel Documents & Insurance
  1. Customers are responsible for obtaining and ensuring the validity of all necessary travel documents, including passports, visas, and permits.
  2. It is strongly recommended that customers obtain travel insurance to protect against unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to trip cancellation, medical emergencies, or loss of personal belongings.
Limitation of Liability
  1. Travelling Ventures will not be held responsible for any loss, injury, damage, delay, or inconvenience caused during the provision of services, except when directly caused by the negligence or misconduct of Travelling Ventures.
  2. Travelling Ventures will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of the use or inability to use the services provided.
Privacy & Data Protection
  1. Travelling Ventures will collect, use, and store personal information provided by customers in accordance with applicable privacy laws and the company’s privacy policy.
  2. Travelling Ventures will not sell or disclose customers’ personal information to third parties without their consent unless required by law.
Intellectual Property
  1. All content, including but not limited to text, images, logos, and trademarks, displayed on the Travelling Ventures website or promotional materials, are the property of Travelling Ventures and protected by intellectual property laws. Any unauthorized use or reproduction is strictly prohibited.
Force Majeure
  1. Travelling Ventures shall not be liable for any failure or delay in the performance of its obligations due to circumstances beyond its control, including but not limited to natural disasters, political unrest, or other force majeure events.
Governing Law & Jurisdiction
  1. These terms and conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Pakistan.
  2. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these terms and conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Pakistan.
Prohibited Activities & Code of Conduct
  1. Smoking, drinking, and carrying arms during the tour are strictly prohibited.
  2. Customers are expected to adhere to a respectful and responsible code of conduct.
Actions Against Violations
  1. Violations of the above rules may result in immediate expulsion from the tour without any refund or compensation.
  2. Guilty parties are responsible for their own arrangements and expenses to return home.
Authority of the Guide
  1. The tour guide appointed by Travelling Ventures has the authority to make necessary decisions and changes during the tour to ensure the smooth operation and safety of the group.
  2. The guide may allocate or change seating arrangements within the vehicles for operational and logistical reasons.
General Safety Measures
  1. Follow local rules and regulations.
  2. Keep your identification documents and emergency contact information readily available.
  3. Carry a basic first aid kit with essential medications and supplies.
  4. Stay hydrated and carry an adequate supply of water.
  5. Protect yourself from the sun by wearing sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses.
  6. Maintain situational awareness and be cautious of your surroundings.
