Overview

Skardu is one of the most beautiful places in Pakistan. Nestled delicately amongst the highest peaks in the world. The epitome of beauty, serenity, and whatnot? Skardu lies on a path to some of the highest peaks in the world, including K2 (Second Highest), G3, and Gasherbrum, access of which is through Skardu Valley.

Traveling to Skardu by air would be no less than an Air safari. You will witness the mighty Nanga Parbat, stunning Katchura lake, untouched emerald-colored water streams and lakes, and a night view of Skardu city. Much like Hunza, Skardu has a fair share of historical sites, you will visit Shigar fort, the Majestic cold desert surrounded by snow-clad mountains, visit to Kharpocho fort, and Deosai Plains, where you will experience Kala Pani, Sheosar Lake and if you are lucky, You might as well witness Himalaya Brown Bear.

Tour Plan

Day 01
  • Fly to Skardu airport from either Allama Iqbal International Airport (Lahore), or Benazir International Airport (Islamabad)
  • Pick up at the airport by our expert guide/ Driver (With instant departure to Skardu
  • Drive to scenic Shangrilla resort- a popular tourist destination- Please note that Shangri-la resort has a heart-shaped lake in the center.
  • Visit Upper Katchura lake to experience dramatic trees and the lake’s crystal-clear water
    Drive to Xokh Nala provided that time allows.
  • Drive to the city & Check in at the hotel (of your choice; depends on the package you have opted for)
  • Rest at the hotel for the remainder of the day or drive around in the city.
  • Wrap up the day with a night stay at Skardu city and experience starry nights.
Day 02
  • Starting the day with a drive to Shigar through the Cold Desert near Katpana village and experience the sand dunes.
  • Visit the historical shigar fort (recently converted into a heritage hotel)
  • Spend some time exploring the Shigar & nearby hotels.
  • Wrap up the day with a night stay in Skardu city and experience the starry nights.
Day 03
  • Departure for a unique experience of the journey to the Deosai Plateau
  • Visit Sadpara Lake (This lake supplies water to Skardu city)
  • Experience the lush green landscape of deosai plains, and visit Kala Pani, & Sheosar lake (An alpine lake with a height of 13,641 ft above sea level).
  • Travel back to Skardu; Either stay in a hotel or hike to Kharpocho fort (45 mins hike)
  • Head back to Skardu for a night stay and the usual starry nights.
Day 04
  • Drive to the Ghanche district to experience its beautiful valleys, immensely hospital people, flowing blue streams, and its unique poplar trees
  • Visit nearby Fish farms & Sailing villages.
  • Drive to Khaplu fort (Constructed in 1840) and visit the fort turned into a hotel.
  • Visit the historical Chaqchan Masjid, which dates back to 1370 CE, making it one of the old Masjids in the region.
  • Wrap up the day with a night stay in Khaplu
Day 05
  • Early morning departure drive to Kharmang District (An agricultural area primarily with small villages nearby).
  • Visit Manthokha Water (2 hours drive from Skardu) & Popular for its rainbow trout.
  • Head back to Skardu and night stay under starry nights.
Day 06
  • Drop at Shangrila resort to experience the heart-shaped lake
  • Spend an entire day at Shangrila resort, with a boating option in the heart-shaped lake.
  • Night stay at Shangrila Resort hotel.
Day 07
  • Drop off a Skardu Airport
  • Departure from Islamabad to the respective location.
  • Share the photographs with the team and help us spread the word about Pakistan.

Booking & Reservations
  1. To book a tour or any service offered by Travelling Ventures, customers are required to provide accurate and complete information as requested in the booking process.
  2. The booking is confirmed only upon receipt of the required deposit or full payment as specified by Travelling Ventures. Failure to provide payment within the specified time may result in the cancellation of the booking.
Pricing & Payment
  1. The prices of tours and services provided by Travelling Ventures are subject to change without prior notice. The final price will be communicated to the customer at the time of booking.
  2. Payments can be made through the accepted methods specified by Travelling Ventures. All payments must be made in the specified currency.
  3. Once the payment is received, it is non-refundable. This policy is in place because Travelling Ventures needs to secure hotel accommodations and other services in advance.
Cancellation & Modifications
  1. Cancellation requests must be made in writing and will be subject to the cancellation policy specified by Travelling Ventures.
  2. In case of cancellation, the customer will not be eligible for a refund of the payment made. However, Travelling Ventures may offer alternative options or rescheduling opportunities, subject to availability and additional charges.
  3. Modifications to a confirmed booking may be subject to availability and additional charges. Travelling Ventures will make reasonable efforts to accommodate such modifications but cannot guarantee their availability.
Travel Documents & Insurance
  1. Customers are responsible for obtaining and ensuring the validity of all necessary travel documents, including passports, visas, and permits.
  2. It is strongly recommended that customers obtain travel insurance to protect against unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to trip cancellation, medical emergencies, or loss of personal belongings.
Limitation of Liability
  1. Travelling Ventures will not be held responsible for any loss, injury, damage, delay, or inconvenience caused during the provision of services, except when directly caused by the negligence or misconduct of Travelling Ventures.
  2. Travelling Ventures will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of the use or inability to use the services provided.
Privacy & Data Protection
  1. Travelling Ventures will collect, use, and store personal information provided by customers in accordance with applicable privacy laws and the company’s privacy policy.
  2. Travelling Ventures will not sell or disclose customers’ personal information to third parties without their consent unless required by law.
Intellectual Property
  1. All content, including but not limited to text, images, logos, and trademarks, displayed on the Travelling Ventures website or promotional materials, are the property of Travelling Ventures and protected by intellectual property laws. Any unauthorized use or reproduction is strictly prohibited.
Force Majeure
  1. Travelling Ventures shall not be liable for any failure or delay in the performance of its obligations due to circumstances beyond its control, including but not limited to natural disasters, political unrest, or other force majeure events.
Governing Law & Jurisdiction
  1. These terms and conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Pakistan.
  2. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these terms and conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Pakistan.
Prohibited Activities & Code of Conduct
  1. Smoking, drinking, and carrying arms during the tour are strictly prohibited.
  2. Customers are expected to adhere to a respectful and responsible code of conduct.
Actions Against Violations
  1. Violations of the above rules may result in immediate expulsion from the tour without any refund or compensation.
  2. Guilty parties are responsible for their own arrangements and expenses to return home.
Authority of the Guide
  1. The tour guide appointed by Travelling Ventures has the authority to make necessary decisions and changes during the tour to ensure the smooth operation and safety of the group.
  2. The guide may allocate or change seating arrangements within the vehicles for operational and logistical reasons.
General Safety Measures
  1. Follow local rules and regulations.
  2. Keep your identification documents and emergency contact information readily available.
  3. Carry a basic first aid kit with essential medications and supplies.
  4. Stay hydrated and carry an adequate supply of water.
  5. Protect yourself from the sun by wearing sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses.
